M&S Joins National Walk to School Week

M&S has launched a new online campaign to help encourage UK children to walk to school. Working in partnership with charity Living Streets, M&S has created a free downloadable game for parents to play with their children, along with useful safety tips to use on their walk to and from school.

During National Walk to School Week, which runs from 16-20 May, over 1 million children across the UK are set to swap the school run and instead walk to school, so M&S has lent a helping hand to make the walk an entertaining experience for both parent and child. The game offers an A-Z of fun things to spot, bonus mini games as well as road safety tips.

With only half of all primary school children currently walking to school each day , and with obesity, pollution and congestion levels rising, National Walk to School Week is the perfect time to try the route on foot. Whether that’s all the way, parking up and walking the last 10 minutes, or just getting off the bus early, walking is a great way to build fitness whilst being kind to the environment.

The free game is available for parents and guardians to download, print off and use on the walk to school with children from today. Go to www.marksandspencer.com/Shoes/b/435245031
